Terms of Service

Rootuals is an online marketplace that connects Hindu families ("devotees") with verified Hindu priests ("pandits") for religious ceremonies. We facilitate discovery, scheduling, and payment — we are not a party to the ceremony itself and do not employ the pandits listed on the platform.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and make bookings on Rootuals. By using the platform, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, notify us immediately at admin@rootuals.app. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

When you book a pandit through Rootuals: • A non-refundable $50 booking fee is charged at the time of booking via Stripe to confirm your reservation. • The remaining service balance is paid directly to the pandit on the day of the ceremony. • A booking is only confirmed once the $50 fee is successfully processed and you receive a confirmation email. • Rootuals uses Stripe for all payment processing. By making a payment, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.

Cancellations are subject to our Cancellation Policy: • 7 or more days before the ceremony: Full refund of the service balance. • 2–6 days before the ceremony: 50% refund of the service balance. • Less than 48 hours before the ceremony: No refund. The $50 booking fee is non-refundable in all cases. If a pandit cancels a confirmed booking, you will receive a full refund of all amounts paid.

Rootuals reviews pandits before listing them on the platform. However, we do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of the services provided. Devotees are encouraged to review pandit profiles, ratings, and reviews before booking. Any disputes regarding ceremony conduct should be reported to admin@rootuals.app.

You agree not to: • Provide false or misleading information when creating an account or booking • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose • Attempt to circumvent the platform by contacting pandits directly to avoid booking fees • Post fraudulent reviews or manipulate ratings • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against any user or pandit on the platform

All content on the Rootuals platform — including the logo, design, text, and software — is the property of Rootuals, Inc. and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any content without our written permission.

Rootuals is a marketplace and is not liable for the actions, omissions, or conduct of pandits or devotees. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rootuals shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the booking fee paid for the relevant transaction.

The Rootuals platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Use of the platform is at your own risk.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Delaware.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the platform. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
